Question in fof how ?

Guys,
How do you see the stats for how a formation did during a game. i.e runing from the i or running from single rb. In the box scores I have a small check box at the bottom to show expanded information but I can't check it. what gives? Thanks

If you want that information, you will have to track it manually. Yikes!

But a programmer could probably easily create a utility to extract that info from the log files.

The FOF Extractor Suite has a log file processor that organizes the log file into an excel file that makes it easier to analyze.

I'm pretty sure this can be done pretty easily with GStelmack's FOF Extractor. The util can be found in the reference thread. He recently added a new component to it that breaks down each play in a format which can be imported into Excel. Then you would just sort by offensive formation.

I figured it may have already been done, but I didn't realize where. I'll have to check that out.

that weird you cant check the box. be sure you are in the play by play log and not the boxscore

you should be able to check the box to see the expanded play by play logs.

so you can see what formation on offense and defense was call

the expanded information check box applies only to game logs, not box scores.
