FOF: Franchise Injured Player?
Ok so here's the deal. I was planning on franchising my Guard who is rated at 79/79 overall. Then in week 16, he goes down for 47 weeks with a ruptured elbow tendon. I'm already close to the cap for next season, and I would try to manage him in if he were healthy, but should I take the risk with this guy, it will cost $4.3 million? He is currently out for 22 weeks, so he might make it back for the playoffs, but who knows what his talent level will be. This is his player card:

dump him. seems to me like he's too old to take the risk and there are usually decent guards (though not at his level) available on the cheap. besides, if you just let him walk you could very well be able to sign him back.

Nah. Let me roll into free agency, since no one will sign him. You can always try picking him up later in the year and placing him on IR. His demands should be pretty low, once he's healed (sometime in the playoffS).

word. Now I can just wait for the teams with 30 and 40 million in cap room swoop him up.
