Best way to run a FOF off-season as commish???

I'm coming up on my first off-season in an online league as a commish, and I was just wondering if anyone had any tips of how to run certain things. Escepcially free agency, since there's like 30 days of it, (obviously an online league can't do each day individually) I was wondering what the usual "standard" is for running free agency (5 days at a time? etc.). Also, any other tips someone might have is appreciated.

The NAFL runs the first 8 weeks of Free Agency one at a time (with pretty much a sim per day). We then do the remaining weeks in 4 week increments. It seems to work pretty well for us, espcially since we have the draft running at the same time on a draft utility.

It's a utility that was originally created by VPI97, the IHOF Commish. He provided the code to the public, and Lonnie (one of our GMs) worked it up for our use. It's in php and requires some coding knowledge if you were to use something like it. If you do a search around here, you'll probably find the original thread where VPI97 posted it.

I wish I could tell you more about it, but I'm not a code man myself. I have Lonnie to thank for tailoring it for our league and tweaking it a bit, and of course VPI97 for originally creating it and providing the code to the community.
