what would happen?

If in FOF a team was so in trouble cap wise, regarding lost cap $ etc. that it was impossible for them to field an entire team without being over the cap?

Is that even possible? The only way I could see is to offer enormous bonuses and huge backloaded contracts.

In that case you would probably have to cut alot, take the cap hits, lose all your draft picks and sign everyone who will play for league minimums. I wonder if in the game logic it would increase the cap enough to allow this to happen.

So he has 17 guys signed and 11 million dollars left in cap room. Um, he just about has to sign 29 guys at the minimum or who knows what is going to go on with your league.

You never thought of stepping in at any point? This is pretty bad.

i did, but he seems dedicated and I figured we'll learn a lesson. I mean how hands on can I be if a GM says he's going to be around for a long time. Regardless if he cant make it under, We'll put them on Computer control and see if the computer can fix this for the next few seasons...

Plus every league has its dogs. Perhaps Hartford will be the dogs for a few years.

...thats my question. What is in line for this team? They will lose picks? The Computer steps in? what?

this is one of my GM's assumption:

"My guess is that when he's forced to export with 46 active, the computer will give him the good old "Computer will fix your poop if you don't" message and work it from there. He'll likely be over the cap through the computer's doing, and in the process will either have everyone not making the minimum salary cut in favor of guys who do by the computer or the computer will fill in the blanks, put him over the cap, and penalize him draft picks.

By next season he'll be fine."

now if that is true, it actually will work out for him NEXT year...this season would be lost. But he knew that last season.

I had some SERIOUS cap troubles with my CFL team and the AI signed some folks for me to put me at the minimum required players at each position and putting me over the cap at the same time. The AI also cut my first round draft choice to make some cap room...
