Tentative Gamenikki results.
Preview Guy/News Whore:
sterlingice (will chip in on GameCube product when we have some) "Super" Joe McEwing: ShaefIllini phyrebird TroyF SirFozzie's Slipper Jockey Draft Dodger I chose to add 5, rather than the originally intended 2-3, because DD is primarily a PC guy, and sterlingice will be mostly doing previews/news for us, but will help us out with GameCube reviews when the opportunities arise. I mentioned earlier, I believe, the prospect of a junior varsity, as it were. The system, I've discovered, allows me to run reviews from non-staff members (meaning I can assign a one-off review without bringing someone on staff on a permanent basis). I will be making use of this, I'd imagine. Those of you with plans to early-adopt the next-gen systems will likely be at the top of the list, because that's where I foresee the most problems with a content logjam. If content levels remain high enough (or grow!) and I'm satisfied with the quality of the JV writers, I may offer them a chance to join the team. The five of you I've chosen outright for the time being need to contact me via AIM, so that I can get you set up on Little Piggy and the staff forums (where I post things like Little Piggy tutorials and what games have arrived/need coverage), and just generally indoctrinate you in our evil wa--I mean, teach you how we roll. And start assigning stuff. That's critical, too. I have labeled this thread as 'tentative' because I reserve the right to replace anybody who is not immediately active and engaged. It was a tough call between a couple of guys, as I had 7 or 8 applicants that I would have loved to have accepted, but only enough heavy-lifting space for three, with ice and Dodger as the peripheral support guys. The moral? Don't give me a reason to regret my decisions here. |

Yup -- I've mentioned to Josh multiple times how I'd love to write for him, but I can't be sure that I'd have enough time to devote to it, so I've never officially thrown my hat into the ring. Plus, if he really employed a Giants fan, he might have issues ![]() Good luck guys!

bump for Draft Dodger, who I see is on the boards right now.
DD - and any of the rest of you with whom I haven't spoken yet - I need a 209x113 image from you for your writer's blog. Also need you to PM me your address and which platforms you do, so I have all of that information in a central location. Those of you with whom I've already spoken about those two things, feel free to ignore this post (but get it done!). |

I have a couple of Indy games I wouldnt mind reviewing for you. Rag Doll Kung Fu is one of them. If the review isn't up to snuff, no big deal

Indie reviews are always welcome; Chris is working on a Rag Doll Kung Fu review right now, though - has been for a couple days.

Dola:
I guess that comes with the territory though. Your going to review quite a bit of crap for every good game you play.

Yeah, but bad reviews can be some of the most entertaining, as long as you don't do a bad game intentionally for every other game and just make it your schtick to make fun of games. For reference, see IGN's Superman64 review
