Hello all,

Yet another great weekend of games! We are now heading into the stretch run of the season. There is still a lot of great football to be played.

This week's votes will be due by 8pm Central time, Wednesday, Oct. 26th. I will be travelling in Europe, so I'm not sure how long after the deadline that the poll results will be posted.

The only reason I can think of Stanford in there is if the poll has no way of tabulating results against teams not ranked in the poll (i.e. UC Davis). That might explain why Tech was getting a lot of respect despite playing two I-AA teams earlier in the year as well.

Knocked out: Virginia (19), Michigan St (20), California (21), Tennessee (22), Auburn (25)
Notes: For the first time since the beginning, not much movement towards the top of the poll. Tons of movement at the bottom, tho. ASU's loss to Stanford plays hell as they drop from a quality team to a fluff team and this affects Northwestern, Oregon St, LSU, USC, and Oregon. Next week will probably drop the Big XII a bit as Oklahoma/Nebraska and Kansas St/Colorado could knock teams from quality ranks

sooner333 College Starter Join Date: Oct 2000 Location: Norman, OK	The only reason I can think of Stanford in there is if the poll has no way of tabulating results against teams not ranked in the poll (i.e. UC Davis). That might explain why Tech was getting a lot of respect despite playing two I-AA teams earlier in the year as well.
