TPB...

I know they have a board but I dont wanna register to ask one question...so here it is...How does free agency work? Im a huge basketaball fan, mostly college and HS but the NBA cap system is weird...so I made 20 mil last year for the franchise, and I am 40 million less in cap space this year as opposed to last, so I figured I would at least be able to offer a two to three 10 mil contracts but I can only offer the minimum, can anyone explain how this works to me? sorry for being confusing...I just need to know how TPB free agency works...

Cap space has nothing to do with now much money the franchise makes. Each team operates under the same soft cap - a cap which you can exceed to sign your own players under some circumstances and also which allows you to offer only minimum contracts or one of two cap exceptions to free agents who were from other teams. Since you are over the cap you can only offer minimums or the exceptions to players who are leaving other teams.
