Which team will sign TO next?

TO is gone from the Eagles and at some point will be a free agent. I do believe that some team in the NFL despite everything that happened in San Fran, despite the whole "I will not be traded to the Ravens" thing, despite the lunacy that has gone in Philly, Owens will be on somebody's team next year. I put teams in the poll who I believe have a need at receiver. I also include the other option. If you pick that one, tell the team.

Bonus question: What will be the money/years necessary to sign Owens next year?

I'm saying the Seahawks, but I had to laugh at the Lions. Are they going to field an All-WR offense?

No way he goes to the Raiders. They re-signed Jerry Porter to a long term contract and Moss just signed this year.

On another note, my vote isn't showing up for some reason.

The Raiders would be amazing. It is the perfect fit, but I don't think it'll happen.

I voted for Ravens, because I think Brian Billick has a pretty big ego and is sort of at the point where he needs results quickly to keep his job.

I heard Mort say that, if T.O. were waived, both the Packers and Texans told him they would pass on him, so those two do not make sense.

I could see Tampa Bay and Miami as options, as well. Although the head coaches are in good enough shape that they may not want to stake their futures on such a volatile guy.

I don't think it would be the Seahawks -- the new GM Ruskell has spent the last offseason getting rid of all the bad attitudes on the team and considers character key to new signings......my guess is the Packers.

I would love to throw Denver into that mix. A big time WR may be exactly what the doctor ordered for that team next year.

IIRC he was traded to Baltimore to begin with and either he vetoed it, or Baltimore spun him right to Philly.

Well the Eagles gave up a backup DE and a fifth round pick and the way TO has acted, what GM would trade for him?

Actually, he was dealt to Baltimore by San Fran when his agent filed the FA paperwork like a day late. TO was pissed by the deal and the arbitrator said that TO should be declared a FA, even though he was a day late with the paperwork. After that it was a few days later he signed with Philly.

How has Atlanta or Dallas not come up?

Granted, I doubt that Parcells has the patience to deal with the arse clown that is TO, but Atlanta might...

It was an 3-way arbitration ruling that got him in Philly. He was rightfully traded to Baltimore but bitched and whined enough to give Baltmiore cold feet. The Ravens did receive a pick or two as part of giving him up (although i think it/they were low-round).

BTW I have no clue who would sign him. First off, I am throwing out the Dolphins, Texans, and the Bears. They all have or expect to have young QB going into next season. I don't think you subject a younster to that pressure nor to I believe that he is incline to go to anyone of those teams because they don't have a realistic shot at the Super Bowl. The Titans and Packers? Do you really subject Brett Favre or Steve McNair to the possibility to a TO meltdown at this point in both of their careers? The Lions have invested too much in their receiving corps to just cut one of them IMO. Raiders? He is not going there to share the spotlight with Moss and Porter. Vikings? After the Sex Boat? No shot plus does Culpepper (when he comes back) "understand" the quarterback position better than McNabb? The Ravens? Let's not forget that TO called Ozzie Newsome a racist or something rather similar. Falcons? I don't think Rich McKay or Greg Knapp want any part of this. Seahawks? Well they are about to pay Alexander big money. Do they have enough to pay TO? Yes money is still going to be an issue for him. He is not going to give a team a discount just to prove to the world he is a good guy. As far as other teams with young receivers i.e the Cardinals. Do you bring in T.O. and sit one of them? How about a veteran team like Denver? Do you drop Rod Smith or Ashley Lelie to put him in the lineup? Here is a dark horse for ya. How about K.C.? Would Dick Vermeil take on the challenge that is TO like he did with Lawrence Phillips? I just don't see where there is a situation that fits both the team and TO

And I believe the Colts offense is good enough with Starvin' Marvin, Wayne, and Stokely at WR.

I actually expect T.O. to be a bargain player next year. Wherever he ends up, he should have a great year, maybe the best of his career.

You have been playing to much FOF if you think TO is going to be a bargain next year. Something tells me he will be asking for the moon in terms of salary, and not basing his salary on this years stats.

Snyder won't be able to help himself and Owens would love to do it to get back at Philly.

The most selfish player in football, meanwhile, was presumably tidying up his house in Moorestown, N.J., which he has put up for sale. Smart move, because the money will come in handy now that Owens will lose $800,000 during his four-game suspension.

Already cutting the ties?

He can ask for it, but it doesn't mean he'll get it. TO's lost his power at the table.
