PC Experts.

I was looking at www.CyberPowerSystem.com

If you had $1000 and didn't need a monitor, how would you configure a computer? I want the thing to play games.

If anyone is really bored, see what you can configure for $1000.

I am not even sure whether to go Intel or AMD.

Thanks,
Bob

Hi, Bob. If I weren't at work, I'd help you out there, Bob. Unfortunately, I'm at work, so I'll let somebody else handle it, Bob. With that said, I suggest that you get a video card that has hardware T&L, Bob.

MoBo Abit AN8 SLI www.zipzoomfly.com $138.95
CPU Athlon64 3500+ Venice www.newegg.com $201.00
Case Antec Sonata www.iguanamicro.com $105.00
PSU Antec TRUECONTROL II-550 www.newegg.com $104.98
Ram Corsair XMS 2GB (2 x 1GB) Retail www.newegg.com $304.00
HDD Seagate 250GB SATA www.iguanamicro.com $126.50
Video BFG Tech Geforce 7800GT www.newegg.com $369.99
DVD NEC 3540a www.newegg.com $39.75

The total there is about $1400 but go to 1 GB Ram and a 6600GS video card and you are under $1100. Hard drive would probably have a rebate and decent case go for less to get you under $1000 and have a nice system with some good legs (hopefully)

I'd go with the 9000 Ultra Pro...the case looks cool.
