I am managing St Albans in Conference South. We are 31 games in and sitting at 7th and only eight points out of 2nd place.

Coming off back to back 1-1 ties and some sub par play by a few of our key players we take on Eastleigh at our pitch. Eastleigh is sitting at the bottom of the Conference and missing their best striker and top midfielder both due to injury.

They score on their first three shots and we go into half down 4-0 ..
I tell the team they are an embarrassment at the half time talk. We come out and play better with the final score 4-0...Bigger problem is I have 2 guys with a 3 rating for the game, 2 with a 4 and 4-5 more with a 5. In the past I would warn players with anything 5 or less and very rarely would they have a problem with me , most times they would accept and agree with me.

So I decide to warn all players under a 5, basically my whole starting line up...BIG mistake, my whole team has it for me now and my 2 best players are demanding a transfer.

What should I have done differently?? Can I get their confidence back??

Up until this point the board was very pleased as we were outliving their expectations, the fans were pleased and most players were happy to be playing for a winner...These bastards have betrayed me!

Dont have 06 yet, but I do remember that 05 was buggy with warning players for poor performance. To the point that it could get you fired with no warning...
