General FOF Questions
I am looking at buying FOF and am wondering how the game is with injuries to players. For example, are there realistic injuries (career ending injuries ala Bo Jackson)? Do injuries occur on a regular basis?
Any insight on how the software does with regards to injuries and recovering from injuries is much appreciated. |

I would say FOF is pretty accurate in regards to injuries.
There are career ending injuries. Injuries are advised to you after each game, via email. If a player has an injury that has him out for 60+ weeks, he is likely to retire before the following season. However, some players will come back from that type of injury with his skills greatly diminished. In any one game you will probably encounter varying injuries to about five players, although it is not unheard of to go through a game without an injury or to have quite a few injuries in any single game. Through the course of an entire season, you will likely have a handful of players that miss each game (much like real life). The injuries are graded as they are in the real NFL. Probable -- 75% likely to play Questionable -- 50% likely to play Doubtful -- 25% likely to play Out -- 0% chance of playing Injured players that are rated questionable or lower seem more likely to be reinjured if you play them before they are healed. And, presumably, injured players are not up to full steam while they injured. |

Also, you can adjust the occurrence of injuries in game. So, you can opt for playing with no injuries, some, or a lot. The default setting is pretty realistic though.
