Ping: Oklahoma FOFC'ers

Yesterday, Cuckoo and I were talking about the Bedlam game when I brought the idea of the "Sooner Gangbang" getting together for the bowl game. We can meet up at one of the sports bar here and watch the game, drink a few beers, etc.

Is something you guys be interested in?

Also, if any of the other FOFC'ers want to join us, they are more than welcome.

I didn't know there were sports bars where they let people have gangbangs. I guess that's just Oklahoma.

Unless the wife makes me go out of town with her (which I doubt since we'd probably be back by the 29th anyway), I'm in. Sounds like a good time.

And like duckman said, others are definitely welcome. But if you decide to come, drive up from Texas for example, we don't want to hear any crap about any of your teams, say like UTEP for example. This is about OU, Jeeber... I mean... whoever...

I'd come by, but I'm more than likely going to be out of town with the family during the bowl game. That and I'm just barely not of age for the having a few beers part. Maybe if we have a OU Final Four get together or something...

If distance is a problem, you can crash in my kid's room. The mattress is not the most comfortable thing, but it's a place to sleep.

If all goes as expected with USC/UCLA and Texas/Colorado on Saturday, it'll almost certainly be the Holiday Bowl, which I believe is on the 29th.

Edit: Just checked. The Holiday Bowl is on the 29th at 7 pm.

A Thursday night might be doable. You're talking about meeting up in OKC, right?

Mine were really bad (compacted or whatever they call it), and I was down for a solid five days before I felt like going anywhere.

Okay, December 29th is the day. Now, how do you guys want meet up? At The Varsity, or is there a place you guys have in mind?

Varsity's cool with me unless someone has a better idea. It still looks at this point like I'll be good to go.

I'm not sure if Ill be able to. Management has been making a big deal about how busy the week after Christmas was last year so time off might me tough to come by. And also I usually open bar Friday mornings, so I would probably have to drive home Thursday night after the game. We'll see how things look when the schedule comes out tonight, though...

It's looking good for me. The kiddo will be staying with his grandparents' home while I do my best to show you girls how it's done.

Plus, I'm not a belligerent drunk. I would have told that chick her face looked like it was dragged down some rough road backwards if I was sober. Also, I didn't know she had a 350 lb ex-football player boyfriend. I still think I could take him.

No problem, Airhog. If this goes well, we'll plan a couple excursions for next season.

Well, from the looks of it so far, it may just be you and me duckie... I'm holding out hope for Jeeber and vex.

Is Varsity strictly a bar or will they allow under 21 in? Although sooner333 hasn't been around in a while, I'm wondering if he could still come too.

Yeah, it looks like it may be that way. I hope Jeebs and vex are able to come along, but I can definitely understand the whole schedule issues at work.

If I remember correctly, The Varsity is restaurant, so they would allow underage people. I'll call them in a little while to make sure. I hope it's the case because it would be cool to have sooner333 come along.

I would have liked to go, but I'm going up with my family to Colorado for that week. Maybe if it goes well, we could do this some other time for a Sooner or Cowboy basketball game that's on the road...or just for fun sometime.

I'm risking my life driving to KC tomorrow for the game, but maybe the bowl game? Or maybe if that doesn't work out, we can just try to meet up for a bowl game or something...I think it would be a pretty cool idea.

I'm thinking the bowl game as well so everyone can make the proper arrangements. We'll know where OU is going on Sunday and that'll give us about a month.

At this point, I don't see any reason why I won't be able to make it. Not exactly sure what I'm doing for New Year's (Hopefully it's the Fiesta ), but I doubt I'll be out of town for any great length of time.

I don't want to hear any excuses from you. Just tell your wife, "Look, woman, I'm going out with my buddies to watch the game and drink lost of beer. I expect my house clean and you naked and awake in bed when I get home."

She'll say, "If you're drinking lots of beer, it won't matter one bit if I'm naked."

Man, after it all falling through last year I feel bad about saying this, but it's looking like my brother might be having a big party that he wants me to go to. Still not sure yet though. If he doesn't have it, I'm definitely in.
