Personally, I like the Custom Continents. I'll play something else, but always find myself coming back to it.

Is Custom Continents always the same map? I have only played a handful of games and have never paid that much attention to the map as a whole.

No, it changes, and what I like about it is that you can choose how many continents you want, or random, which is what I go with usually. Though I suppose putting it on random pretty much makes it "Continents" as well

I enjoyed the games I played on highlands and inland seas. Although with both, since there is no ocean, the barbarians were a bitch.

awesome. I'm pumped to get some new civs in there, should make things a lot more interesting. I'm getting awfully tired of going to war against Kublai Khan.

After playing nearly 100% continents in Civ 3 I've found myself playing a lot of pangea in 4.
