Wireless Mouse with sidescrolling ability

Yeah this thing rocks. Just got it with my birthday money from my dad and it's so nice! My old mouse clicked with the mousewheel and it drove me crazy when my wife or son just clicked and clicked. This mousewheel is silent!

My scroll wheel clicks--I never noticed it before just now. Now it's driving me crazy. Thanks.

I've got a nice wireless mouse, but I noticed that every once in a while my browser would go back a page for no apparent reason. This went on for almost a year. Then I noticed my mouse has 2 small buttons on the left side right above where your thumb would go (to right-handers). These are programmable, and one defaults to the web-browser's back button. Nice.

I have them programmed for cut & paste.
Greatest thing since sliced bread.

I have a mouse with these two buttons, too.
Came in SOOOO handy when I had an arm in a sling and had a piece of software I had to use that I needed to hit a function button and move the mouse at the same time.
Very good design.

The two extra buttons are features that are must-haves on a mouse for me - I can't imagine not having buttons dedicated to "forward" and "back" on my web browser built in to my mouse. Drives me nuts when I use someone else's computer and they don't have them...

The side-scrolling feature on the wheel is a nice gimmick, but I almost never need it. My monitor resolutions are such that it's extremely rare I need to side-scroll. Then again, I suppose some people need it for large spreadsheets or flowcharts and such. I like the silent wheel, but if you're talking about the Microsoft mouse, I wish the rolling action on the wheel was smoother.

I have those side buttons (for forward and back) on my mouse at home as well. The only problem with them is that I find myself trying to use the buttons when I'm at work too.

If you drop it on the floor so the whole thing comes apart, then put it back together it doesn't click anymore...
