I'm sure stevew meant the Steelers were going to lose by double figures.

Wow I was down by 35 points and I figured I was out of it in one of my Fantasy football leagues. Then that beauty got me 20 points to Harrison. He still has Willie Parker and Heath Miller but I may be able to pull it off.

Yes, before the game started I was thinking I was gonna get whooped. Its +1 point per 10 Receiving yards and/or Rushing Yards. I just need Harrison to catch another one and it may be close. Of course I don't mean another 80 yarder, just one more TD.

I'm in the exact opposite position as you. I had a 20 pt. lead going into tonight and Harrison cut it to 2 on one play. My lone player tonight is Randle El.

Sorry. Well in my other league I am down by 5 (158-153) and I have Jeff Reed going and he has no one. So even though I want Harrison to get more yardage/TD's, I still hope the Steelers don't roll over and die.

The first home game I didn't go to this year. Gave my tickets to my uncle who has been a lifelong steelers fan. Its his Christmas present from me. From what I've seen on TV it looks like the officials have made several bad calls both ways(especially all the damn fighting that was going on in the 1st quarter), I just hope they don't decide the outcome of the game.
Also, am I the only one who doesn't think that low block should have been called on the INT return at the end of the half? I don't care what the rule book says, he was just way too close to the returner to call that, especially in that situation. The one thing that worries me about the playoffs is Manning's horrid play at the end of halfs. He doesn't understand that sometimes you must run the clock out at the end instead of going for points and it has had the potential to be huge the last 2 weeks. Last week we were up 2 scores over the Bengals with less than 2 minutes to go, and we hadn't been able to stop them. They were getting the ball back at the start of the 2nd half, the smart play would be to run the clock out and take the lead into the half, but instead he tosses the INT and could have changed the outcome of the game had our D not stepped up in the 2nd half. This week up 13-7, less than 2 minutes to go, we get the ball 1st in the 2nd half. He decides to go for the score instead of running the clock out. We gave the ball back to them and Ben threw the INT and we got a FG out of it, but if he keeps this up it is going to kill us sometime.

Steelers recoverd nicely, but that late pick and 15 yard penalty may be real costly.

It would make my year to see the Colts go 16-0 in the regular season, smash their way through the playoffs, and promptly lose in the Super Bowl to the Bears.

This year's Bears team is no different than the one from a couple of years ago. They went 13-3 and promptly lost their first game of the playoffs. The same will happen this year probably. |

Don't be hating on Da Bears! SUPER BOWL! And yes, while I do concur that there are HUGE similarities...I think this team is better than the '01 version. This version of the Bears haven't won half their games by OT interception returns, etc, etc, etc. They've knocked off some quality teams without the ridiculous amount of luck the '01 team had. Be interesting to see how they fare against Atlanta. Assuming they can beat the Falcons...who in the NFC do they honestly have to worry about? Seattle, and there's no reason they couldn't compete against them. More of a tribute to the NFC's relative weakness than the Bear's quality, but if it gets us a Super Bowl bid, who cares. ![]() |

Guys, everyone in Indiana is so excited about this year's team. I really think we have a legitimate chance of going 16-0. However, I dont really care about a perfect season, I only care about a Superbowl win. I think this is the year that it is going to happen.

dola...
As for the Bears, they don't have a chance once they play a real team with a real offense. I'm sorry, Orton just isn't very good, nor will he ever be. Last edited by cody8200 : 11-29-2005 at 08:59 AM. |

Seriously? 2 of their 8 wins... 1 was an OT RETURN OF AN INTERCEPTION. The other they won on a score set up by a Tampa Bay fumble inside their own 1. The Bears are a fine, fine defensive team. But you are setting yourself up for massive disappointment if you expect them to do anything in the playoffs.

Well aware of it. And that's NOTHING in comparison to the utter insanity of that '01 season. THAT team had something like 5 or 6 victories that were just sheer dumb luck. As for the playoffs, if they were in the AFC, I'd agree with you. NFC, however, is weak weak weak. |
