2. Texas 12-0 beat Texas A&M 40-29, beat Colorado 70-3

Texas beat Colorado by 67 points! Wasn't that for the Big 12 championship? That has got to be the most rediculous championship game ever.

That score is a bit deceptive. It was a tie game well into the first five minutes.

Just missed: See below
Knocked out: Also, see below
Notes: Frankly, if I didn't think it was the cheap cop out way, I'd have co #1's. There are lots of teams with similar resumes like USC/Texas, Oregon/West Virginia, and Texas Tech/UCLA- same number of wins, losses, quality wins, and bad losses. Take, for instance, Texas Tech and UCLA. Both were 9-2 in a BCS conference, beat 3 other bowl bound teams (Oklahoma, Cal, Arizona St vs Okahoma, Kansas, at Nebraska), each got drubbed by their conference's super team (USC, Texas), and each had a crappy loss on the road (at Arizona, at Oklahoma St). On paper only without some biased "I think one would beat the other on the field", how do you separate those?

As good as Notre Dame looks, their schedule is akin to a team from Conference USA- it's hard to rank them any higher than they are. And, it's not entirely their fault- some of those teams were supposed to be better than they are but facts are facts. For the curious, some conglomeration of Oklahoma, Nebraska, Northwestern, Minnesota, and Iowa just missed the bottom cut. Lastly, there are no previous rankings this week as I didn't have a poll the last two times so I didn't want some crazy skewing.

I changed the due time from tonight to tomorrow afternoon, so we can get more submissions in. I'll send out PMs as reminders as well.
