Not that much more impressive than his better pro years. I think people forget how good he was.

He doesn't pass like Bird, and I don't think he'll average 15 boards a game. Still he's awesome to watch.

Great scorer, good kid, nice stache, but no Larry Bird. He can score and shoot like Bird, but thats not what made him special, it was ability to rebound and pass better than 95% also.

I'm a huge Duke fan, and even I'm rooting for Morrison to win Player of the Year over Reddick. The kid is just fun to watch.

That's fine. The point I was trying to make is the one GreenMonster did a few posts later: Bird was a better passer and rebounder. I threw in the number of rebounds as a reference point, and FWIW, Bird still averaged better than 13 boards a game in the NCAA tournament in 1979 against stiffer competition.

Lebron averaged 27/7/7 vs pros, at the age of a college sophomore. I can only wonder what he would have done for a season or two at college. Maybe he would have had lesser numbers since the coach wouldn't have wanted to run that many plays for a freshman.

Usually a statment like that is thrown out there when someone is trying to discount how someone is going to be in the pros...

Morrison will be a top 3 pick if he comes out. I don't know how he'll compare with Larry Bird, but he definitely has the makings of a special player. I wouldn't mind the Warriors getting him and repacing Dunceleavy

Looking at that site, Bird sucked compared to Rick Barry (37.4 p, 18.3 r). Jordan didn't have great numbers (19.6p, 5.3 r, 2.1 a) in comparison to Bird or Barry. Did they count rebounds differently in the 60s and 70s? Were there more possessions per game on average?

Right now the best rebounder in the country is at 13.1 per game. Even assuming he could keep that average he wouldn't be as good on the glass as Bird. Does anybody know the top 10 rebounders for one of the seasons Bird played?

Remember, Jordan played in the UNC system which was very team oriented and had two other NBA All-stars on it, Worthy and Sam Perkins.

Rodman only cracked double digits in scoring once. I think you are looking at per 48 min stats.
