Houston vs SF

Assuming both teams lose next week, the season ending game between these teams could be a stinker for the ages. With both teams having 2-12 records with impending losses next week the season ending matchup could be the Reggie Bush lottery. Which team will be able to better throw the game in order to lose and pick up Bush #1. We could see some records set on this day..

I'm pretty sure SF is giving Alex Smith an extra mill or two to look so horrible in his last couple of games to try and earn them the top pick.

Has anyone ever gone to overtime on a 0-0 tie?

I say Houston wins, which puts them in the awkward situation of having to decide on Matt Leinhart at #2.

What if Houston just decided not to show up for the game in S.F. Just call the NFL and say they missed the plane and would like to forfeit the game.

neither of those teams will take a QB, they have too much invested in the ones they have. Whoever doesn't get Bush will likely take the RB from minnesota, who is also a game changing player.

I have a very tough time seeing Laurence Maroney going #2 overall. He may not even go higher than Deangelo Williams.

That would be hilarious. But I think the NFL would probably punish Houston by taking away their draft pick, or something similiar.

Both teams need help pretty much everywhere. The 49ers and their ownership will probably find a way to muck it up.

As the Texans are my second team, I would be PISSED if they took a RB not named Bush. I mean, I think Reggie is the second coming of Barry Sanders, so although not a need pick I could live with it.

But if they take a RB other than Bush (or any other skill position for that matter) rather than picking up a quality lineman I swear to God I'm going after the guys in the front office.

Picking Leinart would be a dumb pick as well... they could have him and Carr take it in turns to eat dirt next year.

IMO the Texans need to deal the pick (possibly to the Jets, who seem to be completely in love with Bush) and get the best tackle in the first and one of the best interior linemen in the second.

Maybe the 49ers would counter by claiming they couldn't find their way to the stadium

the good thing about this matchup is they can both try their hardest which will give both teams their best chance to lose. there is no need to throw anything.

Tell all the guys on the team you have stickup, but really make them dip their hands in vasoline!

I still believe Barlow can get it done behind a veteran offensive line (something we don't have now), and Gore seems like he as great potential.
Therefore, and although I realize that Reggie Bush could be the next Barry Sanders, I don't know if taking him in the Draft would be a good thing. We have sooooooo many holes that RB could actually be the least of our priority (Barlow, Gore, Hicks) and maybe it'd be much wiser to trade down and accumulate 2-3 first round picks instead...

It would be funny to see the commish step in and make it so the winner gets the #1 pick. lol, I don't know why, but I'm really looking forward to this game. It's funny to think about fans desperately pulling for their team to lose.

I don't think Reggie Bush would retire and leave his team in a lurch...then again, that's very similar to leaving college early.
