Thumbs up WSU Basketball

It's too early to tell, of course, but the indicators sure seem to suggest that the Washington State basketball revival may have truly begun. The lastest clue? A 69-42 thrashing of perennial tournament team Utah in Seattle. We're now 7-2 heading into the Pac-10 season.

Kudos to Coach Bennett on salvaging a terrible program. Onward and upward, boys!

WSU's basketball team is great. They never sell their ticket allotment to the Pac 10 tourney, so you can call the WSU ticket office the week of and get good tournament seats.

Yes, and we have two convicted DVD shoplifters on our team and everyone on the Wright State hoops forums is telling me I'm wrong for not forgiving them and they don't understand what it's like to work at a place that sells DVD's and has to deal with this shit all the time and everyone says things like "they're kids" and "haven't YOU ever made a mistake" and "forgive and forget" and "they could have done much worse things" but they don't understand what it's like to put up with this stuff day after day and I don't think they'll ever understand it and I'm quite torn because I've missed the last 2 home games and I've never missed back to back home games ever since I became a student in '97 and this issue is tearing me up but I can't go cheer for a convicted thug when he did something so terribly wrong that affects me every day at my job and I just wish that people could understand a little but all they care about is their fucking team and even though I'm as hardcore a WSU fan as there is it doesn't seem to matter because I can't cheer for the shoplifter thugs EVER and I hope they both leave our team even though it would really hurt because one of them is a "rising star" and was our leading scorer last game and I'm just so sick of dealing with it and it's killing me and I know athletes aren't saints or anything (I cheer for Ohio State football) but I can't just forget something as personal as this and move on...I'm so screwed.

What the fuck should I do?

It's good to see that this has turned from a comment about Washington State into a discussion of Wright State.

Go UNO.

I think the Shockers have a very good chance this year in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Go Wichita State University.

Washington State is now 9-3 after knocking off #10 UW in Seattle, 78-71. Go Cougs!

This is a good year for Wazzu to be decent, seeing as how the PAC-10 has ZERO legit title contenders. I could see Washington State finishing as high as 4th in this conference. Will that get them into the tourney? Who knows?

Ugh - don't remind me. Give credit to Dick Bennett - his system is working. Romar's boys need to grow up in a hurry.

Well, Dick Bennett is retiring (again), to be replaced at Washington State with his son Tony. At least he restored us to being competitive.
