Does anyone understand these commericals? I'm curious as to the significance of him shooting a biscuit in a basketball game

I like the one where the stylish LeBron tells the old man to "worry about yourself, pops." I think they're all supposed to be a different side of king James.

I like these commercials, but I haven't seen the one with the biscuit yet. Can't explain that one...

I'm with you. It's like some of the Michael Jordan ads from the '90s. People figure if there is a big enough star involved that it is supposed to make sense. What is interesting about these ads? That Lebron has been made-up to be 4 different characters? Who is the 4th Lebron supposed to be? I understand "Gramps", the real Lebron, and even the more hip Lebron, but who is the 4th guy? A has-been high school player who didn't make it? Is he supposed to be a message to the inner-city that not everyone makes the NBA? What is his purpose?

The biscuit? WTF?

Am I the only one to think of that movie The Nutty Professor when I see these commercials?

I always thought the 4th was the younger brother - they always who him as about half size

The 4 Lebrons are: Wise, Business, Kid, and Athlete.

(And, until this thread, I had never heard of this ad campaign period)

Wow. People LIKE this crap? It seems like a bunch of rehashed jokes from 70's and 80's sitcoms.

I don't know if that one has been on yet, but this one fits the mold of the rest.

LeBron seems to have a pretty good sense of humor, between these commercials and his SportsCenter ad. It's always nice to see people that don't take themselves too seriously.

I mean, the "LeBrons" ads are better than most of the sports ads out there. The one with the players wearing masks? It looked like a Manowar video.

These new commercials are way better than the shitty Sprite lil Penny rip off ones he does.

As far as the new shoes go, I'd probably buy them if I played hoops anymore. Maybe not at full retail though, as 125 is awful expensive. They definately look a ton better than the first two models.

The only ad with an nba star that I like is the one with Wade - the one where he keeps falling down. That's a fantastic ad.

I think shoes, but I'm not sure. What happens is, in an NBA game, Wade drives to the basket and gets knocked on his ass, hard - the crowd gasps, and everybody stands around. Then clips of him in high school and college, getting knocked down and getting up. Then he gets up. It sounds silly, but it's quite rousing.
