Doing nothing by choice for the first time in a while. I'd much rather save 100+ bucks than hang out in a total mob in freezing (and currently snowing) weather. Overrated holiday.

Agreed. I usually end up going out somewhere and dropping way too much cash. This year I'm just going to a party at a friend's house, should still be a good time but much less expensive.

I'm stuck at home without baby-sitter. Sucks, but not an unusual New Year's Eve.

Being in one of the only burn ban-free counties in NW Louisiana, I'm going to set off fireworks tonight with the family.

Then, I'm gonna have a drink.

Mrs. Eaglesfan had to work 7AM to 7PM today, and she has to work 8:30AM to 7 PM tomorrow night. I think this is crazy since I doubt many people are going to be eating Mexican at 11:00 AM tomorrow, but oh well. Therefore, we will be staying in and she might not make it up til midnight..

Chilling at the folks' (they're out of town), drinking their expensive wine, and playing FM. Should be a Netflix movie (Five Easy Pieces) in the mailbox if I ever feel like leaving the cave.

Haven't had a "fun" New Year's Eve in ages, so I don't even pretend that it's possible anymore.

I gotta say, I'm going to be home, "celebrating" with my online friends because my RL local friends are punks and most went snowboarding (which you may understand why I'm not going), the others are doing "couple-oriented" things. Blah.

Needless to say, it's going to be me and my friend Joe, partying on IM and watching stupid movies together. Yeah, I need a life.

I'm ok with it though.

Watching UFC Highlights & TNA Impact on Spike TV with my son, as we both wait for my wife to get back from an antique auction in Alabama (she's due back before midnight). Sounds like big fun I guess, but it sure beats the stuffing out of last Dec 31st.

Right about now, she & I were just getting settled in for the night ... at a hospital 30 miles from here, after spending all day in a local emergency room. That was the pneumonia episode that ultimately led to the diagnosis of her tumor & all the fun that followed during 2005.

All things considered, I'd say this one is pretty doggoned good

My wife and I are going to just hang out in the house and enter a new year in the Eastern time zone for the first time ever. It'll be me, her, some Mrs. Fields cookies, and a 12-pack of Coca-Cola. I think I might play some College Hoops 2K6 on the XBox, but that's just because the Devils are getting their asses beaten right now, and I don't think I can watch any more of that.

I've had some BAD experiences with Tequila.
Needless to say, I don't get in touch with Jose too often.
As I said, tonight it's Mr. Smirnoff, Captain Morgan, possibly Mr. Jameson, and Mr. Guinness...

My Polish friend, Mr. Belvedere has already paid a visit. He was in the freezer all day, so he was cold when he arrived. He was getting lonely, so I added a bubbly French vixen to join him.

We are under a burn ban here outside of Austin, so no fireworks setting off for me tonight. It's so dry here, even sparklers are banned.

Played some BBCF earlier. Now, I'm about to head offline to spend quality time with Mrs. Eaglesfan. However, we might have a few drinks

I might be back later after she falls asleep.
