Sab's NFL Pick'Em Game: Wild Card Round

And we are back on! And yes, standing updates coming tonight. Just have to put them in the spreadsheet and post them.

Here are the games for the weekend:

Washington at Tempa Bay

Carolina at New York Giants

Jacksonville at New England

Pittsburgh at Cincinnati

And for the playoffs, points count double. The bonus and penalties stay the same, but for each point that you are off by, you will be given 2 points.

It's a dead tie between Warhammer and gottimd at 927. Everyone else might be at least 100 points behind, but you'd be surprised at how fast that difference can disappear with double points. No one's out of it yet....well, maybe RendeR.

Playoffs start TOMORROW! Don't forget to get your picks in. Can't wait to take the late Sunday games this time (perhaps sending out some PMs when I get home from work would be a good idea).

gottimd and Warhammer haven't missed any weeks, neither have several others, so I'd say you're doing really good. A shame the week you missed was such a bad week, though, or you'd be a lot closer. But, anything can still happen. Double points this week and next week. Triple points for the Conf. Championships and Quadruple (sp?) points for the SB.

But some weeks have been really bad where we actually scored higher than missing a week....maybe.

Not you and War, but yeah, some people had a week or 2 where they did do worse than the average * 1.5.

Warhammer just Pm'd me and said to change all of his scores to 105-100 but keep the same winner.

I told him he was crazy and he said "JUST DO IT AND DON'T QUESTION ME!".

I think he wanted a dramatic entrance? Maybe he wanted to be Fashionably late? To keep us in suspense? Or was he just wallowing in his own crapulence?

I would have thrilled with at least a late TD to make it 28-10, but NOOOOOOOOOO!

If the points we are off by are doubled, if we guess the correct score, is it double the negative points (ex: -10) as well?

good point, I must've missed that part of the "The bonus and penalties stay the same", so I am an idiot, please disregard my prior post.

If my calculations are correct, after the first three playoff games with double the points, I have the following going into the Cincy/Pitt game:

Duckman: 101 (1,164)
Kingfc22: 106 (1,203)
Ryche: 109 (1,130)
Gottimd: 109 (1,036)
Warhammer: 110 (1,037)
Vince: 124 (1,263)
Sabotai: 130 (1,170)
Dodgerchick: 144 (1,279)
Render: 184 (1,456)
RainRaven: 192 (1,255)

The Giants not scoring a damn thing killed alot of people, as well as the Bucs losing.
