Do you like to sneeze?

I have the most ridiculously loud and obnoxious sneezes, according to my wife. I have to admit that they are.....epic. But after having a few sinus fits tonight, I realized something: I like to sneeze. It feels GREAT. It's like a sinus orgasm to me.

Am I wierd, or do any of you long for that sweet sneezing sensation?

Yes I like to sneeze. I never liked it enough to consider devoting a thread to it, though.

Love to sneeze. When I was little I would scratch the inside of my nose to induce a sneeze--call it masturbation.

Mine are probably similarly epic. I sneeze very loudly.

But unlike you, I hate it. My throat is sore afterwards and my nose usually has excess snot in it....just a terrible experience....

LOVE IT! It's like rubbing one off in public and having someone say "bless you."

I sneeze hard. I've only had one of those multiple sneezing sessions one time in my life, and it was 2 sneezes. I was sore for a week. Sneezing is painful for me.

I like it except when my back is sore. Then I hate it with the flaming passion of 1000 suns...

Nothing better than being on the edge, then purposely looking at the sun or some other light to close the deal.

I just had the greatest sneeze of my life. Even though it's Valentine's Day, I called and told my wife that she could just go to bed when she gets home from work. I'm good now.

I actually do, but it gets annoying when you sneeze too much and you get a stuffy nose from it.

I was very pro-sneeze up until I had jaw surgery, and had several I couldn't stop shortly after that.

I am now firmly anti-sneeze after that experience.

I can't believe I missed this thread the first time around. I love sneezing -- so satisfying. I'm also a loud sneezer with a lot of noise erupting from my chest. It's rare that someone says "bless you" to me because usually they think I'm coughing.

There's nothing better than seeing someone that's preparing to sneeze...they're fighting for it, and just when it's about to come, you say "bless you." Nine times out of ten it fucks up the whole process and they lose it.

No. My sneezes are so violent that my arms and hands get all tingly after the fact and hurt for the next 30 seconds or so.

It is actually called Autosomal Dominant Compelling Helio Ophthalmic Outburst Syndrome. (Some people call it ACHOO) I learned this from playing a trivial pursuit game. When I heard the question I just HAD to memorize the answer because I've tried to describe my condition to people and they think I'm crazy.

Autosomal Dominant - I believe this relates to the genetics of the trait. It is dominantly genetic - my father, my sister, myself and my daughter all have it.

Compelling - You have no control over it

Helio - The sun

Opthalmic - of your eyes

Outburst - the sneeze

Syndrome - the condition

I could be slightly off on what some of these mean, but this is pretty close.

I have daily outbursts of sneezing when I go outside with anywhere from just a few sneezes to sometimes a dozen or more.

And yes, it is awesome.

This is a condition? Heh, that's crazy. Well I'm glad my dad and I aren't the only ones.

I wonder if the pain I feel in my nose when it's cold is associated with this? It just comes unexpectedly and only lasts a few seconds.

Well, I don't know if it's a condition really (I don't think syndromes always have to be negative or harmful). Just a genetic quirk. Kinda like being able to roll your tongue.

I love sun sneezes.

I love sneezing when I'm alone, but I find sneezing in front of people awkward. I guess I'm not much of an exhibitionist.
