Angry INFERNAL AD AT THE TOP

I don't know what it was advertising, but that FRIGGIN AD at the top of the screen that if you roll your mouse over it starts screaming at you NEEDS TO GO.

DIE EVERYONE OF YOU LAST JERKOFFS WHO DECIDED THAT ADS LIKE THAT NEED TO EXIST.

HOnestly, it's not that I particularly MIND the ads at the top.
I mind them on EVERY site I go to when they make noises and won't shut up until I find the hidden button.

Regular ad? Fine. Screaming ad? Not so much.

And, thanks, SF.

Uh, you said it only does it if you roll your mouse over it, right? I think there's a pretty simple solution.

I don't use those because they somehow interfere with my bank's website, in terms of accessing my account.
I have yet to figure out what the heck is wrong on either end, but that is enough of a problem to make me NOT use those.

And besides, I don't really care about the ads at the top...until they start making noise. Stupid git ads. I have the same problem with ESPN.com.

The other ads, because of my issues with my bank, I just put up with.

The ads at the top don't bother me as much as the 11 cookies that I have to deny each day I visit. I'm not the fucking cookie monster ok.

Or each time I view a thread I have to view 15 pages of ads (or if I block them, blank screens).

Internet Explorer has more security holes, but at least it allowed me to see more than 60% of the sites that I had bookmarked. Just opening Firefox caused my last laptop to have a nervous breakdown.

Firefox is not compatable with laptops, only with towers.

Firefox runs better on my laptop than it does on my tower. Weird.

Rizon - have you tried just shutting down third party cookies with Firefox? That solves most of my annoying cookie micromanagement, but I should warn you that I'm a pretty boring surfer. I only surf about a half dozen sites a day.

If Firefox isn't accepted by a website, you can use IETab with it specifically, even getting it to automatically open with IE, inside a Firefox tab.

I dropped by the board at work the other day. I had headphones on and did not hear the screaming, but the rest of the office did. Time to make sure the audio is off on all the computers here, I suppose.

The ad bar also crashes every browser on my primary workstation (Linux(Debian)), so while that is good for productivity, it means slightly less traffic to the board.

Oh, c'mon, infernal's a great word! Aspiring cartoonish supervillains everywhere should use it. tk is just trying to be the next Cobra Commander, Megatron, or Skeletor

Is there an adblock type extension for IE, specifically the IE 7 beta. I've tried to deal with firefox, I'm just tired of it dumping my cookies and having to reenter passwords. Now I cant get the pictures to work in it, and a bunch of other stuff that just makes me mad.
