You mean saying "Great day in the morning?" I've never directly identified it as a particularly "Southern" thing. I've heard it all of my life, but then again, all of my life has been in the South, so it isn't that unusual to discover something that I thought was universal not to be so.

For example, I learned just today that saying "shawty" at the end of sentences is pretty unique to this part of the country, too.
