Since it wasn't listed as a choice, I used "Trout!" as the "Did Not Watch" answer.

I was at a bar and for some reason they had it on on one tv. But it wasn't on on and I couldn't hear it or anything.

So I voted trout.

First time I can remember actually hollering shit back when a President says something during a SotU speech, and I'm registered Republican.

Out of curiousity, what did he say that made you holler back?

It might be a shorter list to ask what didn't.

I think the thing that stands out the most was how democracy is on the march and is such a wonderful thing (okay, I agree with that), and how we aren't going to deal with Hamas unless this and this (I'm as much pro-Israel as anybody in government, but if they're democratically elected, and we love democracy, we can't just take our ball and go home).

And then there was the talk of all the oppressed regimes that need democracy - Zimbabwe, and North Korea, and Iran...and mysteriously no mention of China. How wacky is that, that we embargo the Communist government 90 miles off our shores, but we ignore the one on the other side of the planet because they're our biggest trading partner?

Just a mishmash of hypocrises, really, although there were some other things that got my dander up.

Oh!

And now Egypt just had this monumental election, etc, except what about the fact that Egypt doesn't allow a free and open slate of candidates - that those running for office have to be vetted by those already in power?

(I think it might be the same deal in Iran, but I'm not sure.)
