For those about to rock, round 6 is here!!!

Seems like it's been a while since a thread like this one had been started, so here goes!

Dragons are still alive in the Canada Cup. There are only 64 teams left too. We have a somewhat winnable match and if we win it, we're switching full gear to Cup competition and not caring about the league until we're officially out of the cup.

As I said in the Open Forum thread, I'm unable to log into HT from home, probably some ISP thing with their DNS server, but I was able to log in through an anonymiser called shysurfer.

For now, it's a "boring" game but we're up 1-0 after 33 minutes!

GO DRAGONS!!!

Good luck!

I'm playing mostly starters, but on a PIC. It should be a good match.

I PICed to POE last Sunday so I'm playing normal today. Got a trainee on one wing and a starter in crappy form on the other. Lost a supernatural scorer to a +3 injury last Sunday that forced me to buy a 28yo excellent scoere with inad experience, but also with inadequate wing. Both he and my ET scorer with solid wing are played toward wing since his best defense has been consistently in the middle. I am not playing AOW since my center defense is typically also my weakest and I don't want to make it any weaker...

we first got up to a 2-0 lad, then thought it would be bright to pull back, only to add to our lead in the 65th minutes. Dragons up 3-0 after 66!

GO DRAGONS!!!

Dragons are through to round 7 where they will again play on the road against... AC-Quebec. Yep, a derby!!!

They just pulled a magnificent midfield, not old ratings, new ones, although I think it was an all time best for them, so I'll have to scout them a bit more before I know what to expect...

Gargoyles won and missed getting the Hippos by 1 seed.

Next week, we'll lose our road match to Fuddruckers. I hate being near the middle seeds in the game and getting an away match. Even teams, but playing on the road is a killer.

Instead, I'm facing another FOFC'er in fflix and his Booger Ballers.

Looked at the list and I think I'm the 68th seed. Gargs look like 60, booger ballers at 61, another FOFC'er (SLIA) at 62. If only there were 5 more upsets, all of you guys would have been at home, too.

My Gasmasters somehow lucked into the 7th round. 110th seed. Heh.

We're all done now, methinks. But it was fun while it lasted.

SI

huh, I think you got it the other way around SI. Wouldn't more upsets mean they move up in the ranks, thus getting farther away from a home game?

My Dragons are ranked 10th out of 32 teams left in Canada so even if we win, it would only take 2 upsets in the first 9 teams for that dang first home game to elude us...
