Desktop Backup Options

Need some help with options to Backup a desktop.
I have used Tape Drives in the past and found them to be O.K.
But, I am looking for other options that might be better.
Any suggestions?

I'd say an external USB hard drive is the easiest.

Amen!

About $100 for an external 120 GB HD. Couldn't be much easier than that.

Ever since my last harddrive died, I routinely hookup an external harddrive to each of my computers and backup at least once every week. External harddrive is really the way to go, IMO.

If all you want to backup are non-sensitive files, then I'd suggest using GMAIL or something like it. You can upload up to 2 GB on and you obviously don't have to worry about physical storage.

I used to zip things up and upload them to gmail. But they put a 10 meg cap on files, made it to much of a hassle.
