Help, New Guy Here....

Hey Guys, my name is Scott. I just purchased the "Front Office Football" Software. I am a Football Junkie and am looking forward to playing this game.

I downloaded the software, but when I go to install it, I get a message that says "unable to add program icons" and my progress stops at that point.

Wondering if any of you might know what the problem is, or have a suggestion to offer. Thanks....

Are you trying to install as a Limited User under XP? Sounds like you don't have permissions.

right, there is nothign wrong with the program, pre se. You just need to go into the control panel of windows and make sure the user you are, has the admin rights.

"Limited User" means you have limited rights on your machine. You can run programs, but certain areas of the system (such as the Start Menu where the icons would be placed) are off limits to you. This is used in business settings for security purposes, and in home settings to keep kids from messing up the machine.

Your user account needs to have Admin privileges in order to install most software.

Be sure to read the "sticky" thread at the top of "general discussions".
Lots and lots of very useful info in there.

I'm not upset, but I'm waiting on Arlie and 1.1 - lesson learned and is the reason I like to wait to purchase games.. it's been quite awhile though and TCB has consumed me.
