ESPN NBA Trade Machine

I just traded Tim Thomas, Eric Piatkowski, Mike Sweeney and Darius Songalia for Kevin Garnett.

What are you waiting for Paxson, lets get this thing done!

Looks like the one RealGM has had in place for the last 2-3+ years. On a serious note, Swap out Piakowski and Songaila, switch in Gordon, Deng, and at least one of those Knicks picks, and I think you could probably get close to a deal.

I think this solely looks to see if it's a fit financially.

Charlotte gets: Jamal Crawford from NY ($6.5 million for 5 years)
Memphis gets: Maurice Taylor from NY ($9.1 million for 1 year)
NY gets: Melvin Ely from Charlotte ($2.4 million) and Lorenzen Wright (7.7 million), contracts expire at end of year.

NY gets rid of 15.6 million and gets back 10.1 but its off the cap next year. Charlotte gets a potentially solid PG and Memphis gets a solid backup at a slightly higher price for a year.

If a trade doesn't futher devistate the Knicks payroll for years to come, I don't think Isaiah even considers it.

yeah, like trading away rookies and guys with expring contracts and aquiring veterans with overpriced multi-year deals.

I like to call this move the "anti-Isiah."

Um, you realize Charlotte is starting 2 PGs right now?

edit: who are both better than jamal crawford.
