Groups and hosts were determined randomly. No one should have a homefield advantage. Let me know ASAP if I made a mistake.

Please post your challenges in the individual group threads. All challenges must be made and accepted by the economic update on Saturday (4:30 PM Pacific in the US). This should give teams pleanty of time to schedule another friendly.

With 28 teams, there will be only one wildcard.

Remember to challenge your opponent at the appropriate arena!

Unbooked matches will result in a 3-0 win to the team that issued the challenge. Failure to accept a match may result in being immediately kicked out of the cup and replaced with a team from the waiting list.

query:

the important thing is to have neutral fields?

so, could we play in other places in the same country? I'm thinking Swamiom's field in Spain...

Frogman taking the hit of the international 6k for the other three in the group.......

that kind of thing.

that's okay tim, I'll survive the hit

I did think about the people who will be coming to play at The Dojo though We'll try to make extra beer available so you'll get enough for your travelling fee. And I'm sure you know, canadian beer is stronger than american one so you won't be short changed

Uh, are you sure multiple teams can book the same neutral pitch?

I believe the limit is 5 matches per pitch. I checked the largest arenas listed under supporter stats and checked how many friendlies were scheduled at each.

I went ahead and moved all the matches to US venues for simplicity. No travel fees and no odd starting times. Since both international teams are established, I'm sure they don't mind paying a small amount to get their trainees a bit more experience.

Remember that group play uses normal rules and all matches are played at the host arena. Please post in the appropriate group thread when you issue and accept a challenge.

If a match is not booked, the team that issued the challenge will be awarded a 3-0 win.

Hmm, how's this neutral site thing supposed to work? I select Venue: Other..., then click Challenge and... nothing happens.

Hrm.

On the Challenges page, enter the team ID, and other. Click challenge. The page reloads and asks for the arena ID (same as team ID).

You're team is currently abroad and can't be challenged. Maybe that is the problem.

Both of your teams can't issue challenges b/c of your international friendly. I think the lockout ends at 0700 HT time

Standings updated!

I added a second host to each group to make it easier to schedule the matches this week. See the group pages.

Game on! Should be a good match, if my stupid middies decide not to get red carded like they have in my last two matches. Sheesh. Looking over the rest of the "2 2-0 team" groups, whichever of us loses is probably staying home. Should be a hell of a match

I need to calculate the tiebreakers for group 6. One team wins the division, the other is the wildcard.
