Who will get signed first?

As the Unrestricted Free Agency begins this weekend and teams have some more cap room, who will get signed first? Please post who you're voting for and who will sign them.

Personally, I think Edgerrin James will get signed by Indy since he's really the key to their success. He sets up the play action and he can catch out of the backfield.

Jamal Lewis will get eaten up first. He wants to go to New England, but I see a team like Washington grabbing him.

I am going with Foster resigning with Carolina only because I think they have already been discussing things. My second choice would be Brees with the Dolphins.

I think Brees would be a nice fit for the Dolphins. San Diego is making a BIG mistake letting him go.

Foster is not unrestricted. The Panthers made him their transition player last week.

Doh. Didn't catch that and shouldn't have included him in the poll.

I think LeCharles Bentley is a huge UFA , and mistake by New Orleans to not re-sign, that should be included on that list.

I'm sorry, but Center is not a marquee position and I doubt that he'll get signed before the guys in the poll. Make up your own poll.

Yeah, and I forgot to add the obligatory trout option as well.

Randel-El will re-sign with the Steelers.

You think Randle-El would get signed before Bentley?

Don't get me wrong, I never said he would be the first to go, but he is a really good UFA acquisition.

I doubt it. For one, Washington already has Portis. For two, Washington has outrageous cap problems. For three, the veteran RB market isn't great. Witness the trouble James & Alexander have had over the past couple of years generating any interest. Lewis is not only injury-prone but had a bad year last year.

Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if he's still a FA after the draft, and has to fight for a place in camp somewhere.

Ummm...that was just me saying that it was my oversight in omitting him without trying to admit it.

My rational for voting for James is based on an established market for RB's. (based on current contract of Alexander and Tiki Barber) James is between those two players in age and should garner a contract which splits the difference between what these two players are making. Secondly, unlike many of te players on the list, James does not have baggage (Arrington, Lewis) and is not coming off an injury (Brees).

Heard Bentley was on a plane to Philly to sign...Randle-El was interested in Philly too. I also heard the Philly was interested in Mawae as a backup plan or player to Bentley.

I heard Philly was signing everyone, even players under contract on other teams.

Mawae was released. Bentley and Randle El were always UFAs.

I know thata, I meant that Philly was going to sign all of UFA's listed in the poll above as well as sign players who are already under contract on other teams. Therefore, consolidating the league into one team who is WAY over the cap, but wins the superbowl by default.

Randel-El. He's not a big ticket item like a lot of the other guys so he won't get bogged down in negotiations, but I imagine just about every team is interested.

Please dear god let the Dolphins get Brees, we should have drafted him years ago and instead Wanny took Jamar Fletcher.. Thank God for Saban, the Dolphins with Brees will be a force next year..
