Wish you had mentioned this one earlier in the day so I could have reminded my wife the math teacher.

Those people who say pi is 3.14 are soooooo inaccurate. Everyone knows that 3.1416 is where it's at.

I had no idea what this was until a little while ago, although I'd seen references to it. I thought people meant "Pass Interference Day" or something. And who's the nerd who came up with this? Besides being St. Patrick's Day, is 3/17 going to be PRIME NUMBER DAY or something? Hmm...

In high school, my geometry teacher had this banner running around the room with pi printed to out to who knows how many digits. I couldn't help but look at it when I was bored. I think I may have gotten pretty good out to 30 or 40 digits. Now ...

3.14159265358979 .... I think that's all I remember

edit: has / had ... big difference ... High School was so last millenium

So does that mean we missed it. It was actually 3-14-1592 at 6:53:59?

The actual pi representation has only been around about 300 years. William Jones came up with it to stand for periphery (distance around) a circle with a diameter of 1. You guys need to better closer attention in math class!
