So I finally bought an iPod...

I've wanted one for a long time and finally splurged out yesterday and grabbed the 30gb iPod video. I was intending to get the 20gb one because my mp3 collection is about 16gb and unlikely to increase dramatically, but I discovered that they no longer sell these so I grabbed the 30gb instead. I have a few questions though and would be grateful if anyone has the answers.

1) I assume that the only video format recognisable by the iPod would be QT format, or perhaps a taylor-made iPod format? If so, is it easy or possible to convert mpeg videos to these formats? This is not something I've ever toyed with, especially with my intense hatred of Apple's QT playing software...

2) I was listening to an album this morning that has tracks the blend in to each other, but there is a ~2 second pause between tracks that ruins this. I looked through the options but couldn't find any setting for this, is it possible to remove the pause?

Yeah. You have to do it through iTunes, I think. There are a ton of options for songs there. Just ffix the settings and then re-sync your ipod to the itunes.

Thanks guys!

I didn't realise how much control iTunes had over the iPod itself, I'll take a better look tonight.
