Terry Tate, Office Linebacker

Anybody else seen the full (nearly 4 minute) commercial Reebok has for this guy? This has to be one of the funniest commercial's I've had the pleasure of seeing. When he corners the guy in the lunch room for throwing out his pop can instead of recycling, I nearly laughed up a lung. Whoever came up with this one has my vote for a raise.

Terry Tate, Office Linebacker

Here comes the pain train! whoooowhooooooo!

Something interesting about this: the commercial has nothing to do with shoes, and yet everyone seems to remember that it's a Reebok commercial. I've talked to people who can't remember what the Fedex commercial was advertising, but they all know Terry Tate is Reebok. I have no idea why that is, but it's good news for their stockholders.

Personally, I only know it's Reebok because at the end of the small clip for the Superbowl commercial, it had the address to check that site for the longer version (that and the huge Reebok symbol he has under his number on the medallion he wears). As much as I love the commercial, I won't buy Reebok because of it, but I will watch this series of ads over and over and over again.

I'm pretty sure, other than the general recognition for their company, it was advertising their reliability (rain sleet snow rah rah rah).

I think the Fed Ex commercial would have been better a year or two ago.

That is some seriously funny stuff. Terry Tate, Office Linebacker, has become a standard joke in my office.
