Wink The Quiet Man

Anyone else enjoy this old classic film? My wife and I have a tradition of watching it sometime around St. Patrick's Day every year. Great fun.

Some favorite lines:

"Two women in the house, and one of them a red-head."

"If you passed the pub as fast as you passed the chapel you'd be a lot better off...you little squint!"

"Here's a stick to beat the lovely lady with" ~ "Thanks!"

""It's Homeric!" (when Flynn see's the broken bed)

"Finny...get your book out! Write the name Sean Thornton in it. Now draw a line through it!"

"Looks like your in-laws are coming for a visit...squire darlin'."

One of my favorites- I grew up on John Wayne/Jimmy Stewart, and didn't learn to appreciate this one as much as the westerns until after my Dad died. My uncle Jim and I watched it one night and he told me how much my Dad also liked this one. Frequently the song pops into my mind too... "he was born and bred in Ireland..." Will probably throw the DVD in over the weekend, in and around the NCAA's...
