Who Would You Draft?
So I have the first pick overall and am looking for some input as to what you might do in this situation.
Four players could potentially go first overall. An 80/90 running back with a volatility of 62, a 53/90 dt with a volatility of 62, a 37/88 qb with a volatility of 70, and a 55/84 wr with a volatility of 33. The running back looks like a sure bet to be a superstar, but we already have two young solid, if unspectacular, running backs on the roster. We have an 11 year vet (71/75) with one year remaining on his contract as the starting qb. Our defensive line doesn't look like it needs a whole lot of help at this point. We have two young receivers with potential in the 50s. Thoughts? |

Combine numbers? My first instinct is to grab the DT, because stud DTs are few and far between, while you should have no trouble picking up a decent RB, QB, or WR. But I'd want to see his combine numbers before deciding if he's really worth it or not. If I don't see anything horrid in the combine numbers, I'm jumping at a 53/90 DT in a heartbeat.

I would bitchslap jshipman first. Then I'd move down a few spots. Finally, I would ask myself why the fuck I'm in the PFL.

Oh, since we're talking PFL, I would take the DT at #1, and then i would cut him in commish mode, and then in solo mode I would offer him a 7 year 7 million dollar contract, and then state that I only did it since I didnt like the way the game does rookie contracts.

I'd move down a couple spots and grab the QB.

QB. Trade the vet QB for a 1st rounder this year or next.

If this is multiplayer (which it appears to be) I would take the QB. Play your veteran this year, tag-and-trade him next year. Also, acquire a mentor in the meantime.

What kind of idiot in multiplayer gives 3 first round picks for a single draft pick?
