This seems very odd...

This week's 25 most-expensive transfers

Date Players From To League Price TSI then
19:th Batıhan Tuğlu FC Tuncel Mamakspor Türkiye 30 651 000 US$ 1 190
19:th Saldıray Akkın Mamakspor FC Tuncel Türkiye 30 600 000 US$ 500

Looks like a trade to me. I recall reading this as the way to "trade players". If you have a player worth 10K and I do too, we can list them both as 1Mil a peice and we buy each others players. No one else will bid 1Mil for a 10K player, so the two people in the trade are garaunteed to get the player they want and its an even swap of dollars.

I also read that you should notify a GM or something because it does seem sketchy, but it can be allowed.

could look like a trade but trades should only happen between two highly skilled and valued players, not players in the kind of value that these two have. Also, when doing a trade, you kind of overpay for the player, trying to avoid any outsider from putting a bid on the players, but never for that much. 30M is just crazy, think about the agent fees involved in a deal like this...

Finally, take a look at this:

same IP, I think it's blatant cheating in some way and should be reported... In fact, I will do just that right now...

they could both be students at the same school.

Also, they are division V and VI in turkey. Both are relatively new (12/05 and 01/06).

It almost seems like an artificial way to get your teams in the top transfers..

maybe, but still looked shady enough. Players at 500 and 1000 TSI shouldn't sell for that kind of money, even in a trade... Oh well, they're in Turkey, I doubt they'll track me down

If it is cheating, what purpose would it serve? Swapping 2 lousy players and each paying a silly amount of agent fees doesn't serve like cheating to me.

Perhapst another party is the team getting the the mother club or last club money on those deals.

edit: Both players have been sold only once before. Their motherclubs both use IP 144.122.***.***. Again, nothing conclusive though.

wow, didn't even think of that. Gotta say I was starting to feel very cheap and silly for reporting it but look at this now:

here's that same start of IP address again... Must be a very popular game in that school

So, 30M U$ at 2% is what, 600k. Hrm, could be a reason, not the brightest but could have gone unnoticed...

That school caused me no end of problems when I was a GM. I was basically in charge of Turkey, Israel and a few other small countries. Definitly go ahead and report them. I wouldnt be surprised either way it ends up either clueless newbies who have already been dealt with or blatent cheating.
