CPU question (graphics I think)

I have two computers set up side by side. When I use the scroll wheel while surfing the web on computer 1 everything is seamless and smooth. On computer 2 I use the scroll wheel and the whole screen gets choppy and slow. I would like for computer 2 to act the same way as computer 1. Does anyone know why cpu 2 acts like this? Is there a fix for it?

I hope this makes sense, because it does in my head. It bothers me because cpu 2 is much better than cpu 1.

Thanks

Could be video card / drivers are much faster in standard window operations on machine 1. Could be that machine 2 is running a bunch of background tasks that eat up resources. Could be that machine 2 has some sort of bus contention slowing down the graphics update.

In other words, could be a number of things.

That's what I was afraid of. Do you know how I find out what type of graphics card I have in my computer?

XP ? Right-click on "My Computer", select "Properties", click on the "Hardware" tab, select the "Device Manager" button, then open up the "Display Adapters" entry.
