Sold a House Lately?

We have a contract on our house. going into the putting it up for sale we were concerned it would take a while. So we bought and buried a St. Joseph statue. 8 days later we have a contract on our house and are going to close in less then a month.
i have heard many stories of this sort. Have you experienced it or know someone who has?
I am a firm believer in this.

my family did this. it worked for us, too. and we arent even christian!

the rule is, i think, that now you are supposed to dig it up and display it prominently in your next house.

we did that, as well, but i accidentally broke it while running audio wire. oops!

We sold a house 6 months ago. The first day we put the house on the market we got full asking price offers from the first two people who looked at it. 1 day on the market and sold. No statues were involved in the selling of this house.

I've never even heard of this, though I'm not Catholic, so I guess it makes sense. Just know that you are indebted to Saint Joseph big time, and one night, when you least expect it, you'll hear a tapping on your back window and it will be time for that debt to be paid.

Its amazing how many intelligent people follow illogical patterns when things are beyond their control, I know I do sometimes.

I put this down to simple stress transferance personally, I know I stress over things I can't control - however if I can illogically transfer this onto a superstition or something beyond my control then it eases my worries ... stupid in some ways, but good stress relief all the same

(and yes the fact that I logically know what I'm doing probably makes it less effective for me ... grrr ... got to hate having a logical mind sometimes )

Funny, I'm doing a lot of digging today as well, but not to bury some statue, but to lay pavers. I hope my theory that a nice looking home makes people want to buy it. If it works, I'll pass it on.

The pavers at our new place (we close in 29 days) were a big plus for Mrs. Eaglesfan. Good luck

Mucho Gracias. I've finished laying them, it's not too bad. It was designed to extend a concrete patio out and add a border. I think it's done it's job. I just need to add sand between the stones, but I'm taking a break.
