Raymer puts the 3rd biggest stack at the table all in with 44. His opponent has AQd. The flop came 4 2 4.

I am bouncing back and forth working on an outage problem at one of our sites. If they make a deal can someone post what it was in here? I am curious to see what Raymer would agree to with twice the chips of the next closest guy.

Helluva play by that E-Daddy fella. He bet 600k right back at Raymer, and got him to fold costing him 400k.

And it's Ovah!

And anticlimactic at that. Raymer reraises all in with eight ten offsuit. E-Daddy had a wired pair of jacks.

That was probably the 10th time E-Daddy reraised Raymer's while they were heads up. Raymer's just picked the wrong time to play back.

T8o is also a decent hand heads-up.

I was casually watching but, seemed like Raymer was way too passive. Maybe he just had absolute crap cards in that span but, seemed every time E daddie raised, Raymer folded.. BigBugs played pretty well. He was down to around $60K in chips with around 8 people left and he doubled up in consecutive hands.

I can't even imagine winning $300K.. every bill I have would be paid in full...

No it's not. It holds up less than 50% of the time against a random hand. Far less against a raise even if your opponent has been raising a lot. There is no way Raymer wanted a call there or played the hand that way because of the strength of his cards.

I disagree. I do not have numbers in front of me. T8o is a marginal hand heads up and therefore, it is a decent hand. Depending on the size of the raise, I would probably call with it and see what develops. This is especially true if my opponent has been taking shots at me.

Any two cards are playable in heads up if the price isn't too high. However regularly calling raises of 3x the BB or more with T8o is flat out a mistake. Especially if your opponent has you covered. More than half the random hand distributions have you already beat. So even if an opponent has been taking shots at you he is going to have you beat more than half the time. Not to mention even an opponent who is taking shots is still going to throw away the lowest percentage of hands. So he/she is actually going to have you beat a good deal more than half the time.

I would say calling is actually your worst option. You either have to raise or fold. I am sure Raymer decided he had a pretty passive image at that point and figured a push would take down the pot. If he thought he was going to be called there I am certain he would not have made that bet.

Quite a bit of controversy... there are strong indications that "Who is next" may actually have been poker pro Noah Boeken playing a second account in the same tournament. Boeken has already been nailed for multi-accounting once and Justin Bonomo just lost over $100K in earnings after being caught for the same, so it's hard to believe anyone would be dumb enough to do it again.

ZeeJustin lost a lot more than 100k. He lost 100k in one account, plus all the money he had in the other 6 or 7 accounts.
