Help with TE

Heres the set up...I want to run multi WR sets.
Problem: My super-star TE can not be placed in any of these sets.
If you go (personel-miscellaneous) you can't place a TE in any of these formations ...(rb,se123,fl123) but no TE! "There is a slot for Curt Cobain"

any ideas?

Don't run a multi-wideout set?

Run a two-wide with a TE.

I think it is a huge limitation on the game that you can't put a TE at a WR spot, but you can put a FB there.

This is something I noticed, and yes, It does put the TE in the slot(potentially). Probably could be considered an exploit(maybe), and it's something that I never would personally bother to do. Have 2 RB and 2 FB on your roster. Set your TE as FB #1. Set both of your FB's as TE 1 and 2. Hit recommend and the computer will put your TE as the #3 RB. And then you can insert him as a wideout in sets, assuming you configure them.

Even if that does put the TE in the slot, there has got to be some sort of penalty/ramification in there, right?

I would assume so, however I really havent tested it at all. I had noticed the computer was defaulting the TE to #3 RB in the past, but didnt really think anything of it until I read a post in this thread and remembered you could put the FB out wide if you wanted to. In on not-so-conclusive test I did running an exclusively 5 wide set, Heath Miller got 203 targets(of 800 some odd passes) and 80 catches lining up in the slot, but he did also drop 13 balls and only got 9.1 yards per catch. But he was probably an above average TE(60ish type) and we were running a pretty fucked up offense, so I'll assume his target to catch ratio sucked that badly cause of that factor.
