Tomb Raider: Legend
Anyone picking this up? It's gotten favorable reviews. The main complaint is it is short.
The original TR was one of my favorite games. I'm tempted... Last edited by Kodos : 04-12-2006 at 02:32 PM. |

Meh. Answer me this: If the main character in the game was just some guy, instead of a scantily clad, digitally enhanced female, would that series be popular at all?

I think you could've replaced her with Indiana Jones and the series would have still done quite well at the beginning.

Agreed. The original games were very solid video games. They would have been enjoyable no matter who the main character was. I think later on in the series they forgot that fact and put out some garbage assuming people would pick it up for Lara. They may have been partially right, but that doesn't change the fact that the first few games in the series were very, very solid efforts. |

I was hoping we'd get the Xbox 360 version from Eidos, as I enjoyed the demo very much.
PS2 version arrived today, so that's a little disappointing, but hopefully the game itself is just as solid. |

Picked it up for the PC and just finished it. According to my save games, it took me a little under 10 hours to beat it, so it is a tad short. I never played any of the previous TR games, so I cannot comment on how it ranks amongst them. I can say that it is pretty enjoyable for the 10 hours you get to play.

I rented the XBox 360 version the other day. I'm going to play it after the end of NHL game I'm watching. If TazFTW is right, I may actually finish the game today.

My wife has it for the 360 and is loving it. She prefers the puzzle games to combat/action games.

I've had a blast playing this game so far. Since I'm not big on "achievement points" for my XBox 360 profile, I probably won't be interested in playing through the game more than once, but I'm enjoying it right now.
