OT:AIC?! Say it ain't so!

from blabbermouth.net

The reunited ALICE IN CHAINS will be performing at the 2006 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally at the Legendary Buffalo Chip on Friday, August 11, 2006 in Sturgis, South Dakota. The Seattle-based band joins a long list of rock, classic rock and country acts to play at this year's 25th annual party at the Legendary Buffalo Chip, including KID ROCK, LYNYRD SKYNYRD, ALICE COOPER, MONTGOMERY GENTRY, GRETCHEN WILSON, THE JAMES GANG with Joe Walsh, GEORGE THOROGOOD & THE DELAWARE DESTROYERS and BLUE ÖYSTER CULT.

As previously reported, ALICE IN CHAINS will play at least five shows in the U.S. before heading overseas for a series of summer European dates. The band have revealed on their web site that the first date of their U.S. tour will be May 18 in Los Angeles. They have also confirmed that COMES WITH THE FALL vocalist/guitarist William DuVall will sing lead vocals for the group on their upcoming run, along with a few "special guests."

DuVall performed two songs with ALICE IN CHAINS last month in New Jersey at a taping of the VH1 Classic series "Decades Rock Live!" He has also sung ALICE IN CHAINS material as part of guitarist Jerry Cantrell's solo touring band.

Now maybe if they took Aaron of Stain'd and had him do his best Staley... Then it might be decent. He did a hell of an impression (IMO) in the tribute he made with Stain'd a while back.

I'll second the notion on AIC being that band that had exactly what I wanted to hear on their cds.. I was PISSED when I heard the shitty news about Layne, because I knew a band like that couldn't have been totally done. I was just waiting for their reunion to occur.

They've been back together for a while. We had a thread about it a month or two ago. they did the Heart Tribute show that is going to air on VH1 - the main guy singing with them is the dude from Comes With the Fall, but at the Heart show, they had several guest singers, including Phil Anselmo.
