So I guess its playoff time in Token League 275.. Anybody still paying attention?

I guess I want to use this opportunity to gloat a little, with the #3 scoring Offense, #3 scoring defense, and best record in the league.. But I am really just bitter that I keep missing my chances to join FOF leagues because I am usually at work when the threads pop up, or I am sleeping because of the rigors of an occasional 7 day work week..

Anywho, just putting a toe in the water to see exactly how much it even matters to those who are in #275.

Good luck to everyone who's still in it, regardless.

I'm in as a wildcard...but with TLF I've used the "fire and forget" plan. There are such glaring holes in the sim engine that I'm not doing anything more than checking results as they happen. I'm not even sure if my RB is still leading the league in every category (like he was about 6 games in).

I quit paying attention once my RB hit 2,000 yards in week 8

I love that my RB has 3,000 yards rushing, but only 1 first down.

Me either.. With a few subtle differences, the game seems to sim (statwise) very much like Madden does when you actually let the game play out on-screen.

Anyway, we'll see if you can handle the Boiltown Groins.. IF YOU MAKE IT THAT FAR!!!

(Sinister laugh)

Ahem... So, uh.. anyone else?

The game has potential with a few tweaks to gameplanning and a major simulation overhaul, IMO.. But it may also go the way of another game that had incredible potential when I first learned of it...

Ultimate Tecmo Super Bowl.

did I make it? I know I was 7-1 and leading my division at one point, but then lost 4 games in a row...

after that, I'm not quite sure...

This sim engine has potential, but for now it's garbage.

9-7 and I won the division at 11-5....

I'm still "watching" TLF, but that's about it like Vince said... I want to show it support in hopes that it is able to improve the sim engine, which is less likely to happen if no one plays... but i can't see myself getting into advanced playing calling or spending more than 5 minutes (if that) a day glancing at it...

I'm in that boat as well.. seems the general consensus is its fun to kind of check on it, but not worth a lot of time at this point.

Its like a show on tv thats got an interesting premise, but really doesn't yet deliver what you'd expect. But they keep airing it, so every now and then you tune in to see if it has gotten any better, and maybe one day it will. But for now, you just keep wondering when and if it will be worth your precious tv time, since there are other shows that are better.
