How hard is it to Strain your Neck?
I'm trying to get some football text simming done this weekend to enjoy the beautiful crop of incoming freshmen I've recruited and figure I should get the monthly "neck-straining" out of the way so my wife won't be badgering me to get anything done around the house. I've never actually done this myself however, usually I just fake it and that's all but now I'm not faking, I really did twist wrong or something, and all I was doing was taking the trashcan out to the road.
The trash can is about 4' by 2.5' (diameter), and heavy as hell, and I was dragging it solo. Should I just wait a few weekends and hope it doesn't get better, and even if it does, pretend that it ain't, or will she get suspicious if I don't go to a doctor in a day or so?

You would of been better off pulling your groin. The olny thing you can do with a pulled groin is rest. And, 3 weeks is about right. Nothing a doctor can do except tell you you need to take it easy for a couple of weeks.
RICE Rest. Ice. Compression. Elevation. And, a chronic groin could flare up 3 or 4 times a year. |

Pulled stomach muscle is good. totally immobilizes you from any kind of hard work/physical exertion (also means she'll have to be on top). I actually had the pull many years ago, and kept reinjuring it over and over again -- damn, you have to use your stomach muscles to do just about anything. So, simply stand up from the couch and wince -- that ought to to do it.

get into a car accident and youll feel sorry just about all the time. The downside is eventually that becomes your baseline. Right now, my neck and back are a little sore, and I consider that to be normal. good stuff.

I thought you were looking to strain your neck. I was gonna offer you to be my sparring partner for a few rounds.

Not hard at all, epecially if you weakend it sleeping on it in an awkward position. I did this last weekend, and my neck/shoulder have been sore all week.
