We finally did it....

Telle and I closed on our first true home on Friday the 28th. I have never lived in a house I or my family has owned. We've always rented. So to be honest, I've been a little emotional about this. Its a huge step forward for our family.

Link below is to pictures of the place. 2 family home, 2bdr upper apartment, 3 bdr lower with finished basement living area and 2 full bathrooms. 3 car garage, concrete drive, double lot....lots of extras...so many things they put into this house I can't even describe....there are lights everywhere, inside and out...hot and cold running water outside the house....a gas grill hooked into the natural gas line of the house....

I'm so thrilled right now!

not sure how far the pics go but it looks like there might be a flooding issue.

The pics of the flood were from the old apartment last summer. The river out back had a blockage that the city failed to remove promptly and for about 8 hours our back yard was "Lake Snow".

Whew. I was going to say that if you bought the one with the flooded backyard, I would hate to see the houses you passed on.

Congrats.

Actually the one we have that looks like something NASA developed is in pristine condition, the one upstairs works fine, but will probably need replacing next year sometime.

If we don't get tenants in there soon you'll be right about that...once we have tenants though, we're set.

You don't like our "stove of the future"?? But it matches the hallway decor so well!
