Strained Hamstring
Rated as a probable and the term of the injury unknown.
I am a bit worried of causing further injury by playing this guy. I've had a guy out 10 weeks with a severe pull before. Is it likely or possible that a strained hamstring gets worse? Secondly, how long do these injuries tend to last or is it random? Cheers. |

No empirical evidence to support this, but I get the impression a strained hammy does get better quicker if you rest the guy (often I find they clear up during a bye week), but they are also random: sometimes a wekk or two and they're gone, somtimes they're there all year.
I always play the guy - touch wood it very rarely gets worse (can't actually recall a strain becoming a tear, unlike other injuries)

Injuries with "unknown" term don't go away until the player suffers another injury. At least I think it's like that, anyone else can confirm?

I've had strained hamstrings, severe depressions, etc with 'unknown' recovery time clear up mid-season: I think the 'unknown' may just be a random injury length.

Yeah - from what I've seen, it looks like "Unknown" basically has a chance to clear up every week, could last one week, could last dozens. |
