Torii Hunter's Best Catch (Ever)?
If you didn't see it, you got to...
http://minnesota.twins.mlb.com/NASAp...e.jsp?c_id=min Just look at how much ground he covered. That was Stewart's ball. |

He's such a beast. Kirby is smiling someplace.

Hrm. Player won't work for me, and I have the latest version too. Weird.

Damn that was one hell of a catch. What really impresses me about the play is how much ground he covered to get to that ball.

Who was that at the plate? I don't know enough about scouting, but I'm trying to figure out why Stewart was shading this guy down the line while Hunter was shading this guy toward right center. It seems like the catch was somewhat unnecessary. I can see playing a right handed hitter to pull and shade the left fielder toward the line, but if you're doing that why do you play Hunter to the right of second base and create that much of a gap? It was a great catch -- facilitated it would seem by bad positioning. |

It looked like it was Magglio Ordonez who hit it. Great catch.

That catch pissed me off. That hit would have at least given the Tigers a chance to win the game.

Yes, it was Mags who hit that. And that catch kept the no hitter alive for another couple innings, until Pudge got a single in the seventh (I believe).
