XBox Live Arcade: Anyone playing?
Even though I've had my XBox 360 since January, I just "discovered" XBox Live Arcade. I've been playing Astropop practically nonstop, and I'm even getting into UNO whenever I can find a multiplayer game going. Does anyone else play XBox Live Arcade games regularly? Any recommendations?
I have 800 points left, and I'm not sure what I want to spend them on. I've tried many of the demos, but the games I liked most were Marble Blast Ultra and Geometry Wars. I think I'd prefer something that has online multiplayer, but I'd want something that has a decent player base. I'd hate to get something like Gauntlet or Smash TV only to find out that nobody else is playing. I'm trying to stay away from puzzle games like Bejeweled because I have Astropop and Hexic. Maybe after I get a little further into those, I'll buy a new puzzle game. For now, I'm looking for a good multiplayer game, be it a card game or an action game. What do you guys think?

We need to get together for a game of Uno Pumpy. Strangely addicting game.
I haven't played the arcade a lot, but I've enjoyed the games I have played. Did you happen to grab all of the trailers from E3 they had for d/l? Some good stuff there. |

I only looked at the NCAA Football 07 trailer, and it reminded me of that old Madden video that they showed way before the XBox 360 came out. It showed nothing but a few seconds of guys juking and getting tackled, so I didn't really get a feel for anything from it. I'll look at some of the other trailers later on, though.

Shadowrun, the Pinata game and NBA2K6 are all worthy. NBA only shows some footage like you talked about with NCAA, but knowing it's going to look that good with nice controls makes it worth looking at IMHO. edit: Shadowrun and the pinata game both show a ton of game footage and have some good information in them. My wife loves the Arcade games. I mostly play Hexic and Geometry Wars. I might get into Uno if you guys are playing it.

I played my first UNO game on Live last night and won, so hopefully, will be playing more online. It is surprisingly fun.

If you liked Asteroids or Space War, you absolutely have to get Geometry Wars. It's incredibly addictive. I'm up to 1.7M (office mate has 1.98M), high score in our office is ~5M.
Also worth checking out is Outpost Kaloki, a seemingly simple yet addictive strategy game. |

I figured that was her when I was in the lobby and saw your ID playing Hexic a few hours ago. Otherwise, I would have challenged you to NCAA
